We know your inbox is probably already full of Earth Day messages, and we’re grateful you chose to open ours. Thank you for allowing us to share a glimpse of what this work looks like on the ground.

Across the landscapes where we work, Earth Day doesn’t arrive as a single date on the calendar. It shows up in quieter ways: in the first seedlings taking root after months of care, in communities gathering to restore the lands they depend on, and in the steady return of water to places where it had begun to disappear.

What gives us hope is that this work is growing, led by local partners and communities like the Warmi Kewiñas, who are restoring their native ecosystems not just for today, but for generations to come.

Today, we invite you to witness this hope in a new video: "Warmi Kewiñas: Guardians of the Forest." In the high Andes of Bolivia, the Warmi Kewiñas (Women of the Polylepis) are making the kind of change that doesn’t happen overnight. It's built over years through collective effort and deep connection to place.

But as you’ll see in the video, forests are coming back. Watersheds are being protected. And with them, a more resilient future is taking shape.

If there’s anything Earth Day can offer, maybe it’s just this: a reminder that meaningful change is already underway, and that it’s worth paying attention to.

And if you feel moved to be part of that change, to stand with the Warmi Kewiñas and support this community-led work, we would be grateful for your support.
